I realize it's a catch-22 here, I can't expect free sites to exist without ads, but maybe I can help push them towards more reasonable ads by eliminating the obnoxious ones.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Also, I always cite &lt;a href="http://www.daringfireball.net" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" title="http://www.daringfireball.net"&gt;http://www.daringfireball.net&lt;/a&gt; as a site that really does ads right. Every week he does two posts talking about a sponsored product. No pictures, just links, and it's written in such away that frequently I don't even notice that it's an ad.
