Stumbled over this while doing some iPhone development and googled for "(gc off)"...

Neat little thing...
When setting up everything for iPhone development, I realized that the UnitTestig-target only accepts armv* architectures, which means I am not able to run the tests on simulator.

Switched to device and it builds just fine.

Google chrome is also debian-based, same as ubuntu.. it would be interesting to see if ubuntu gets a boost from chrome (better hardware support). or, on the other hand, the users could all flock to chrome.

As a consumer, though, it's my job to look for products that appeal to me, not put up with unappealing products because the company selling them needs to make money. I realize it's a catch-22 here, I can't expect free sites to exist without ads, but maybe I can help push them towards more reasonable ads by eliminating the obnoxious ones.

Also, I always cite http://www.daringfireball.net as a site that really does ads right. Every week he does two posts talking about a sponsored product. No pictures, just links, and it's written in such away that frequently I don't even notice that it's an ad. Plus, sometimes the products are really cool.

I disagree. While I could do without the flash junk, ads are an important part of the internet business model. Also, the other links on the page are often how I run across interesting stuff.

I have changed the batteries on my mouse and I still cannot move my cursor with the mouse! I have clicked numerous times and I am still locked out.
